Kelly & Bobby's Barrel Room Wedding Shower

“Kelly has always been really close with her uncle and aunt, so when they volunteered to give her a dream bridal shower she was overwhelmed. When asked what her top location choice would be, it was the Barrel Room at Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant in South Barrington. Kelly loved the ambiance and the food, so they made it happen! For her entire life, Kelly has been obsessed with the color green so it was no surprise her shower theme was "mint to be" and had mint green everywhere!
The details and decorations were so fun! Eye-catching florals in giant wine and martini glasses adorned the entrance way, cake table, and sangria bar and the room entrance was even decked out with a balloon arch.
Kelly and Bobby's wedding ceremony will take place in northern Michigan in front of the gazebo at the Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island. To incorporate their wedding day into their shower a friend designed a beautiful accordion photo display where each panel held a black and white photo of Kelly and Bobby and a unique Mackinac Island related cutout at the top. The ombre mint green cake from Mariano's was covered in sugar star confetti and displayed alongside photos of the couple's fur baby and "dog of honor," Ivory.
Each guest was treated to a mini bottle of champagne covered in glitter. But the really awesome favors were in the bag on each chair which was full of souvenirs from the Pink Pony- Kelly's absolute favorite bar on Mackinac Island. Each guest received a hat or visor, and a wine glass or tumbler from the famous island landmark.
Although the couple opened gifts together Kelly’s family had a few surprises just for her. Her mother had her own wedding dress (Kelly's parents had just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary!) turned into a rehearsal top that incorporated the veil she wore on her wedding day. Kelly's Dad took the diamonds out of two of his rings and had a special bar necklace made for her to wear. How special!
There was so much love in the room. Family had come in from Michigan and Texas and everyone was elated to celebrate with the couple. It was such a special way to get excited for the couple's destination wedding.”
