Cristina and Andrew wanted a lot of things for their wedding, but number one was being able to showcase their love in front of family and friends... and to give them the most epic dance party EVER. They succeeded. ;) The couple met at a concert back in 2015, so it was only right for them to make their special day about music and dancing - something they bonded over immediately. Andrew was off the market at the time, but their instant connection was unmatchable. Andrew had moved away shortly after (all the way across the world to Thailand) just to find out what he really needed was right back at home in Chicago. The two met up as soon as he moved back and were inseparable since. A few dates, music festivals, and vacations later, the two got engaged at Ohio Street Beach in front of family + friends. Shortly after, they were ready to plan their best day ever.

On the morning of November 2, 2019, Cristina and her bridesmaids got ready at DL Loft, a Parisian apartment in the northside of Chicago. The girls got ready, enjoyed champagne and prepared for Cristina to reveal her bridal look to her father, mother and bridesmaids. It was so special for her dad to enjoy this time with his daughter, too! Cristina wore a fitted, beaded boho-chic Viero Bridal gown and simple long veil. The bridesmaids wore burgundy Jenny Yoo assorted gowns. Florals included pops of white, burgundy, blush and hot pink with beautiful greens. Andrew and his crew got ready and enjoyed guy time in the West Loop. The entire bridal party met at Celeste, a River North bar, where Andrew + Cristina enjoyed an intimate first look on the rooftop garden. The party joined them for a few photos, before heading on the bus. Andrew + Cristina also spent some time taking photos on the 2nd floor at Disco Chicago, Celeste's nightclub. As mentioned before, HUGE disco + dancing people. :)

The bride, groom and their party headed to Garfield Park Conservatory for photos, before finishing up at the Chicago Riverwalk. It was so important for the couple to incorporate boho, planty vibes with a classic Chicago wedding. Who says you can't have both?! The riverwalk was empty and Andrew + Cristina ended their photos with boats passing on the river and trains zooming behind them in true Chicago fashion.

Around 5PM, guests waited in the pavilion for the ceremony to start. The pavilion was an indoor white tented structure with beautiful chandeliers. The guests faced a floral arch, white drapery and windows that looked out to Galleria Marchetti's garden, which was filled with fall colored trees and string lights. Music was carefully selected to fit the bride + groom's vibe and to make the ceremony as untraditional as they could. :) Rufus Du Sol's "Innerbloom" played pre-ceremony: Andrew got a tattoo with the lyrics for Cristina. The second song, "Metaphysical" by Autograf was played as the bridesmaids walked in, followed by Andrew + his mom. "Something About You" - Hayden James (Odesza Remix) played as Cristina entered the room and walked down the aisle with both her father and mother. The ceremony was short, sweet, full of laughs and audience participation... yes you heard that right! Guests were included in vows and had to give their "I Do's", too! After being pronounced husband + wife, the couple happily walked down the aisle to "We Found Love" - Rihanna + Calvin Harris as flower petals were thrown.

The couple enjoyed a few moments alone before enjoying drinks + apps in the cocktail room for. Around 7PM, guests gathered back in the Pavilion for dinner, drinks + dancing. The bridal party entered the wedding to Avicii's "Levels" and the bride + groom entered to "Seek Bromance" also by Avicii. The Pavilion was beautifully decorated with white and gold. Candles filled the room, amplifying the elegant chandeliers. Mirrors with the couples favorite song lyrics, record players, and photos were scattered throughout. Guests were asked to sign records in place of a book. In addition to music + dancing, Cristina wanted her Italian heritage to be infused into their wedding. Bomboniere's are Italian favors that are given to guests for special events. Each guest received a mini bottle of tuscan herbed olive oil. In addition, Cristina's dad is an Italian baker who of course.... made the wedding cake + sweet table. The wedding cake was nutella filled with white buttercream and the sweet table was filled with a variety of Italian pastries + cookies. They both were a HIT!

After speeches, special dances, and dinner, Cristina + Andrew hit the floor for their first dance. Little did Andrew know, Cristina had arranged for the Chicago Bulls drumline to surprise him to perform to "Line of Sight" by Odesza. Cristina is a huge Bulls fan and Andrew is a huge Odesza fan, so when they saw the Chicago Bulls drumline perform with Odesza at Lollapalooza, she knew if they got married she had to work some magic to make this happen! The drumline strolled in a few seconds into the song and Andrew, along with all wedding guests were so surprised. After the first dance ended, the dance floor opened and the party started! The drumline grooved with guests for an hour. DJ Dustin Harris from Style Matters kept the party rockin' until midnight. An after party was held in the cocktail hour room were a second DJ played strictly electronic songs for the groom. Glowsticks and strobe lights were in full effect until 1AM. Cristina + Andrew truly had the most magical weekend with family + friends. It was a wedding that no guest will ever forget, and Cristina + Andrew sure won't either.
