From the bride: I’m from Connecticut and my now husband is from Ohio, but we have called Chicago home for a long time. I wanted our wedding to feel “east coast meets midwest” and “summer meets fall.” Since I’m a wedding caterer, we used a lot of resources from my company (Limelight & Revel Decor!) so the menu and all details were very carefully crafted.

From the bride: Because the reception was at the Chicago History Museum, we did an extended cocktail hour so that our guests could peruse the historical galleries and exhibits! As for some of the details, our 'getaway car' is a 1992 Range Rover that the groom (Andy) has restored, the watercolor painting that is featured in our invitation suite, 'welcome bag' cookies and on the cocktail hour bar front was painted by my grandmother who is a watercolor artist, our specialty cocktails were the "Bryn & Tonic" and the "Brandy Old Fashioned". Brandy because Bryn + Andy = Brandy, and our "guest book" was a giant tidal chart of the spot in Maine where we got engaged (where my family vacations)! Also, instead of a traditional blessing, my uncle led the whole room in singing a traditional German cheers-ing song that we always sing with my family when we get together.
