Art Inspired Wedding at Loft Lucia

After Jane and Julio got engaged in New York City, they went to the Museum of Modern Art and saw Claude Monet’s painting ‘Water Lilies’. This soon became the inspiration behind their wedding design. The day included whimsical colors, elements of nature, vintage pieces, and an overall romantic feel

Cailynn Wolfgang Photography captured the entire day beautifully, taking portraits at The Art Institute of Chicago Gardens. The bridesmaids wore shades of sage green, creating a neutral backdrop for their dream-like pastel bouquets from Flor Del Monte. Their art-inspired Chicago wedding took place at Loft Lucia. We incorporated floral pieces in pastel colors and fluffy textures, to coincide with the romantic feel. The outdoor ceremony was adorned with lush floral pieces emerging from the ground around the bride and groom.

The reception included a variety of vintage vases and candleholders that the bride had collected over time, giving the day authentic heirloom touches. There were prints of Monet’s paintings, ornate gold frames, and stationery with floral designs. The wedding cake from ECBG Cake Studio incorporated shades of blue replicating Monet’s paintings, and was adorned with both buttercream and real floral.

Overall, the day felt as though it was right out of a painting, with the lovely couple front and center.  Afton Events was behind the scenes ensuring every detail was a dream come true.
