BLUSHing and Beautiful: A LOVEly Valentine’s Day Shoot at Society 57

By Erin Martin, Owner of ECBG Cake Studio and Nicole Gonzalez (Bertic) Owner/Photographer, Millennium Moments

The suburb’s most romantic and versatile venue is: Society 57. Located in Aurora’s historical Pocus building, Society 57 is home to a beautiful social space open 7 days a week. Designed to imaginatively bring a community together from all walks of life, it includes over 9,000 square feet of space and features a premier wedding and event venue, a specialty coffee shop, mid-size meeting rooms and more.

This venue is fabulous and its brick walls brought a great rustic vibe to this fairytale-like shoot. Planner extraordinaire, Elise with Chic from Chicago, brought together the best of the best for this luscious and lavish shoot.  Jess with Stemming from Love brought modern romance to the forefront by flawlessly decorating with flowers in all the shades of pink and red (PLUS did you SEE that behind the back bouquet? Next level.) Neutral balloons, spray painted baby breaths, and a variety of linens from FS Linens were all arranged like a dream. The Festive Frog features their soft and sweet pink tableware to really bring the Valentine’s Day lovey-dovey feeling.

With nothing less than flawless execution, the hair and makeup artists, Erika (Erika Alexis Beauty) and Nikki (Beauty By Ann Krause), worked together to create a stunning red lip and a half up half down ‘do that are totally ‘goals’! and florals in the hair? It doesn’t get much more romantic than that…Except for maybe the breathtaking dresses from Diana’s Bridal that the models were born to wear! The bling was also truly stunning. Curated by Melissa Tyson Designs, we are in love! Not only is their jewelry one of a kind, they use recycled gold and ethically sourced diamonds for their handcrafted wedding bands and engagement rings.

Photos from Nicole Gonzalez of Millennium Moments blow us away with their clarity and vibrancy. The passion is palpable and the moments are magical in these gorgeous photos!

The stationary was so unique, and the inclusion of Cupid with the envelopes was whimsical and enticing.

Last but very obviously not least; the desserts. Can every wedding have cotton candy?? Pixie Cart, is a women owned business and Jennifer is a wonderful person who’s spun sugar truly wows. ECBG Cake Studio was so excited to create a cake for this shoot. We went with a ‘monochrome maiden’, as we like to call her. She is gorgeous and gathers much attention with her groovy but modern shapes. Romantic but chic, we would love to see more of this style for future weddings!!
