Digging Deep at The Arbory with Karen Taeyaerts - A WIPA Chicago event
Written by Curator Erin Martin of ECBG Cake Studio
As Director of Marketing for WIPA Chicago I am so fortunate to be able to have a hand in all of the wonderful events we put on. It is so rewarding to see all of the hard work and coordination pay off so our members can benefit from the educational components and networking opportunities WIPA provides. I always love to see the way our talented sponsors so generously pull out all of the stops to showcase their best work, making each event memorable and beautiful!
Oh, you don’t know what WIPA Chicago is? Well, let me tell ya! WIPA stands for Wedding International Professional Association, and the Chicago chapter is one with some of the most impactful, influential, and talented vendors in the whole city. I feel honored to be among these members and am lucky enough to be on the Board Of Directors. We hold quarterly educational events that always have networking opportunities and of course, are lots of fun! We provide value with weekly online seminars, and offer promotional, leadership, and continued education opportunities. We are developing an official certification for wedding professionals and work closely with local non-profit organization, Digs With Dignity, where we provide regular volunteer opportunities.
Our first event of the year was a total success! We were hosted by the gorgeous venue, The Arbory, described as a “Modern Industrial Chic Warehouse.” The space was perfect for our group with its exposed brick walls and beautifully lit natural wood vibes.
Kehoe Designs added some soft and colorful touches with the most beautiful floral displays. The centerpieces added such a feminine element for the guests to enjoy during their meal from Entertaining Company which was so delicious!
LullaBelle Design provided stunning place cards that matched the venue vibes perfectly.
Speaker, Karen TaeYaerts, got the whole crowd engaged by having us dig deep within ourselves to discover our goals, what was holding us back, and what we were proud of ourselves for.
Everything was so beautifully photographed by Cody Palm of Fig Media, and we are so happy to have such outstanding images to share with our members and community.
