Lively Fall Chicagoland Wedding
Lauren and Donny had a wedding that lit up the overcast and wet fall day in 2023 thanks to special touches from family and friends, and an incredible vendor team that pulled off a fantastic day. Even a particularly rainy season cooperated on their day by holding off while the wedding party sought out fall colors in the Busse Woods for photos.
They wanted a wedding that was both classic and fun, and achieved both, from their love-filled church ceremony to Metropolis Ballroom’s most lively wedding party — Donny himself was the biggest ham on the dance floor that night! Honorable mention moments from the day: Lauren pulling out a rose gold microphone for party bus sing-alongs, a doodle artist working away to make gifts for guests to take home with them, as well as gift boxes of chocolate adorned with the cutest snapshot of their adopted dog Peanut.
From Lauren about how they met: “We met on Bumble four years ago and have been together since then! We met over beer at a bar and continued to date while exploring other restaurants around the city. We quickly found we were comfortable with each other and both had the feeling we had found the one. We moved in together at the start of Quarantine and then rescued our dog, Peanut :) We recently bought our first condo and now are planning the wedding!!”
