Sikh Enchanted Forest Wedding

Erica and Ben's love story is a beautiful tapestry woven with shared passions, cultural pride, and a deep connection that blossomed amidst the demanding halls of dental school. Their journey, marked by two heartfelt celebrations, culminated in a vibrant Sikh wedding that perfectly blended tradition with their unique personalities.

Their connection was evident from their very first date, a six-hour conversation that unfolded amidst the natural beauty of Eagle Creek Park. It was there, surrounded by towering trees and the gentle sounds of nature, that they truly connected. Years later, it was in a similar serene setting, during a hike, that Ben knew the moment was right. With a ring discreetly tucked away, he proposed as they paused for lunch, marking the start of their official journey together.

On July 28, 2023, Erica and Ben honored Ben's Christian heritage with an intimate ceremony and reception. But Erica also envisioned a vibrant celebration reflecting her own roots. Their second wedding was a breathtaking ode to South Asian traditions, infused with their enduring love for the outdoors. The "enchanted forest" theme came alive with lush trees among guest tables, transforming the reception space into a whimsical wonderland.

Erica's vision for a bright and colorful wedding, so characteristic of South Asian culture, was stunningly realized. Personal touches abounded, including elegant peacock motifs, a nod to the majestic birds she cherished at her grandfather's home in India. Throughout the festivities, subtle echoes of their first wedding resonated, creating a beautiful continuity. They used the same cake-cutting set and stand, and Erica re-wore the same bangles. Perhaps most touching was the card box Ben crafted for Erica, featuring a burned picture from their memorable first date – a testament to the enduring foundation of their love.
