Winter Engagement Session in Downtown Chicago

Today we are excited to share this gorgeous winter engagement session in Chicago. Zach and Rachel were also kind enough to share some of their love story with us so scroll through the post and check out some fun details about their relationship and read about their excitement for their upcoming wedding.

Tell us about the proposal

We were on one of our annual cross-country trips, and we decided to do a tour of Sunset Rock in the Catskills of New York. It was a small photography tour so when we got to the top of sunset rock (not an easy climb, thought I wasn't going to make it through the little Crevasse. Haha!) we started taking photos. It was sunset and Zach told me there was one last pose he wanted to do, and then he proposed! From then on, everything seemed so sweet and beautiful!

What are your favorite things to do together as a couple?

We love to try new foods and restaurants throughout Chicago! We are self proclaimed foodies! We also love our inside dates where we try new recipes and watch new shows together. Most of all we like to be outside and take walks or hikes. We bike in the summertime! Really, any time we get to spend together - even pancakes and sleeping in on Sundays - we are just happiest when we can be together.

What are you most excited about for your wedding day?

This is a tough one for me because I love weddings so much! I have been dreaming about mine for years, so maybe what I'm most excited for is to see all of my ideas come together! I love all the little details like cutting the cake, and dancing all night! -Rachel
