CHI thee WED is hosting a networking mix and mingle event while also showcasing wedding vendors that find themselves in a niche field. Who are we speaking about? Wedding Pet Sitters, Wedding Painters, Wedding Content Creation, Wedding Calligraphers, Live Musicians… anything within the wedding field that has never traditionally been on the wedding list that couples need to book before their wedding day.
Who is invited?
This event is twofold. ALL WEDDING VENDOR TYPES are invited to the event to networking however if you would like to showcase with a space, you MUST be a Niche Wedding Vendor. Space is extremely limited for Niche Wedding Vendors that would like to showcase so please book your spot as soon as possible!

Why this event?
We recognize just how hard it is to “break into the wedding industry” when you are a niche vendor. Half of getting business is having vendors know who you are and what you do so that they can help refer you to their clients or can partner with you for future opportunities. We are creating a fun networking event for all vendor type where we showcase niche vendors because we want to encourage planners, venue managers, photographers, designers, etc. to learn about your business. We will bring the people in so you can connect in a meaningful way.
Why is this event different (and possibly better) than a traditional wedding show?
We know what wedding shows are like - It is sometimes very hard to connect with couples, as they walk through a room at a wedding show or wedding event. They can feel overwhelmed and depending on how long of a day it has been, YOU probably feel overwhelmed, tired, frustrated and maybe ready to check out. Making a meaningful connection with potential clients in situations that are less than ideal is well… less than ideal.
This event is giving you something different. We are not inviting couples, we are inviting wedding vendors. You will have the opportunity to connect with vendors from all over the Chicago wedding market, sharing about your business, the kind of couples you are looking to connect with, budget needs, the ideal circumstances that you want on a wedding day, and what makes you unique in this market. The goal is to build connections and evangelists for your brand that will share about why you are different and amazing in your work, and why clients need to book you on their wedding day.
We are hosting event to HIGHLIGHT YOU with the hopes that you take this opportunity to make meaningful connections, network and get on the referral lists of all the people you have been trying to connect with but just haven’t had the best luck getting in touch with.
What do I recieve as a showcasing Niche Wedding Vendor?
Even though this event is open to all, we want our niche wedding vendors to shine! The earlier you register for this event, the more exposure you will have in connection to this event.
Pre event
Logo and Business name showcased on Event Page, social media marketing, email blasts, etc.
Post on CHI thee WED Instagram page (13.2K followers) prior to event sharing about your niche wedding business
Marketing digital assets shared with showcasing vendor for individual social posts
During Event
Table at event showcasing your niche wedding business / participation in event lineup (depending on business type)
Opportunity for live demonstration at event, if applicable (live painter, dancers, calligraphers, niche food/beverage vendor, etc)
All Showcasing Vendors will have emcee shoutouts throughout the event
Specific traffic will be directed to each showcasing vendor table
Business listed on event signage and throughout event
Opportunity to connect first hand with vendors in the Chicago market in a meaningful way
Post Event
Sponsored photography coverage from event will be shared with showcasing vendors
