Festival Friday - June 1st
With Chicago being our focus on this blog, why not share some of our favorite Chicago things to do, right? Out of town wedding guests? Exploring the city in your down time before the rehearsal or wedding? Or just simply counting down the weekends till your big day, here’s a look at some awesome events going on in the city this weekend!
As the official start of June and #summertimechi, what better way to explore those options than taking a look at one of my favorite street fests, Do Division. Taking place on Division Street, between Damen and Leavitt in West Town, Do Division offers tons of local vendors, food and drink, and of course one of the city’s best fests for live music, brought to you by The Empty Bottle & Subterranean.
Saturday and Sunday: 12pm-10pm
$10 suggested donation at the door
Next on our list is the Big Gay Brunch hosted by Lucy Stoole and Trannika Rex at the Boiler Room! Featuring DJs, shows, fashion, and local shops hosted by A Queer Pride and representing LGBTQ community.
RSVP for a hosted glass of Campo Viejo Cava Brut or Rosé, or a Hangar One Rosé Vodka Frosé!!
Looking for something a little more active? VIBEUP Summer Yoga + Ale Fest is this Saturday starting at 10am in Grant Park. This one day urban yoga fest features deep house yoga, mindful market, more yoga, and an after party with Chicago Ale Fest! All levels welcome, just bring a mat and comfy clothes.

Maifest Chicago takes place Friday through Sunday in the heart of the Lincoln Square neighborhood. The festival promotes Chicago's German heritage and benefits a number of German organizations.
Maifest is a German celebration of the arrival of spring. Come celebrate with German food, beer, live music and other traditional celebrations!
