Adrian and Rita's Industrial & Elegant Rooftop Wedding
Photographed & Written by: Geneva Boyett Photography
Adrian and Rita planned their beautiful industrial wedding with a view! These two lovelies became man and wife on Savage Smyth’s beautiful rooftop overlooking the incredible Chicago skyline right before sunset.
While sharing their personal vows with one another, Rita looked at Adrian and said that she had finally found her "lobster" (referencing the line from the famous Friends sitcom and refers to a person's soulmate because, according to Pheobe Buffay, lobsters mate for life). At that, many guests laughed and cheered while the others shed happy tears before their officiant and dear friend pronounced them husband and wife.
After a lovely cocktail hour serving oysters on a half shell and drinks, the party moved inside into Smyth's beautiful open concrete reception space. With such an amazing venue, they decided to keep the rest of their decor minimal, using white and cream florals to accent their space.
More tears were shed as we listened to a moving father-of-the-bride speech before everyone sat down to enjoy an incredible dinner provided by the catering team at Real Kitchen. The two newlyweds danced the rest of their night away surrounded by disco lights and their closest family and friends.
