Cultural Autumn Engagement Session

In the mix of the winter season, we just HAD to share some warm color that shined through Dariusz and Allison’s autumn engagement session. With Winterlyn Photography behind the lens, the couple strolled through Fullersburg Woods in their casual attire (with their adorable fur baby Wallie!) before changing into traditional Polish attire, which held meaning because it’s where Dariusz is from. When Allison and I were discussing locations for hers and Dariusz engagement session, Fullersburg Woods and Graue Mill in Oak Brook, IL was nowhere on my radar. It was Allison who brought up this beautiful location and I am so glad she did! The weather was PERFECT! The foliage was in full bloom of colors galore. Allison & Dariusz brought along mom Linda (thank you again, Linda, for all of your help) and their precious little doggy, Wallie! Allison & Dariusz dressed in Dariusez’s traditional polish attire for their “dressy” portion of the session. I love how they incorporated something so meaningful into their Engagement session. We found some wonderful areas at Fullersburg Woods that reminded Dariusez of his home town back in Poland.

Allison and Darisuz brought along a ring box in the shape of a pencil. Dariusz had made the wood pencil especially to propose to Allison who is a school teacher! I am so glad they brought it along for me to photograph. I am so excited to photograph this amazing couple’s wedding at the Brookfield Zoo!
