Patrick and Chelsey's Proposal at Lincoln Park Zoo

Proposals are one of my favorite things to photograph. When a friend of mine reached out, connecting me to Patrick for his surprise proposal, I immediately said YES and I am so glad I did.

Patrick wanted to surprise Chelsey at the Lincoln Park Zoo. He knew she might be on to him so he told her he was meeting his sister there and changed my number in his phone to his sister's, so she would not suspect a thing.

The day of, it rained all day! We had a backup plan in the works but we were crossing our fingers the rain would stop in time for the photos and the rain gods listened to our prayers. The moment came and we could not have asked for more perfect weather and Chelsey was so surprised!

They were so happy with the photos and I am so glad I was able to capture such a special moment for these two! The absolute best part about this shoot was how genuine Patrick and Chelsey are with their love for each other. With a loud, YES and a warm embrace, they shared an incredible moment on the bridge overlooking the skyline. The beautiful smiles on their faces didn't leave for a second, and they were both filled with so much joy.
