Emma & Jake’s elegant wedding at the modern, industrial The Standard in October was classic and elegant from start to finish. They planned the entire wedding in only 3 months, and it was the most simple yet sophisticated wedding. From Emma's simple details, to her elegant BHLDN gown and wrap, every ounce of this wedding drips with romance.
The Standard is a gorgeous, industrial venue in downtown Rockford, IL. It features a modern black rooftop bar, classic chandeliers and beautiful exposed brick. The girls were able to get ready in the stunning bridal suite with an on-site salon, and Emma & Jake’s first look was on the rooftop with the stunning city of Rockford as a backdrop. When we met to discuss their wedding, they decided to have a first look, and they were so glad they did. They said their favorite memory from their day was “our first look because it was so special and an intimate moment that we were able to share just the two of us during the whirlwind of the day, and our first kiss as husband and wife!” Emma also loved special moments she shared with her mom before the day started praying together and bonding. Jake enjoyed playing ping pong and having a chance to relax with them and settle his nerves before the ceremony.
Their ceremony and first kiss was on the indoor section of the modern rooftop bar, under the large chandelier! The officiant talked during their ceremony about how they met – Emma’s mom met Jake after he worked at Safelite and connected them! There were so many personal touches about their love story and all the things they share like a mutual love for music and concerts! At the wedding reception they shared their first dance to the same song Jake proposed to, and they had special dances with their parents and step parents. The end of the night dances featured a rubber chicken that brought almost everyone onto the dance floor and they partied the night away!!
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Warner!!!
