Written and captured by Rachel of Mandelette Photography:
This winter wooded wedding inspiration shoot was a dream. Flowers were provided by Virginia Wolff, a fitting name for a historic library affair. Tablescapes were complete with rare books, candles, a quill and ink well. The lights that romanced the halls at Ruggles were a sonet that Hemingway himself would have dreamed to see. The grand staircase was complete with lights and foliage, truly capturing the romance of the library. Across the street sits Washington Square Park, a ceremony space and outdoor option for the lighthearted and whimsical. In summer and fall, you can see the south entrance of the library as the backdrop to the park, complete with original facade and restored mosaic floors in the grand lobby. The staff at the library was so thrilled to take part in this romantic winter shoot, and all of the vendors really put in their all. Cheers to a better year ahead, filled with new stories to be written in the history books.
