First comes love, then comes CAKE TASTING!

Sure you’ve tried the holidays, but have you heard of ENGAGEMENT SEASON? You know it, you’ve seen it. Around November and December when you’re entire news feed is filled with pictures of left hands and “We’re Engaged!” that’s how you know. It’s Engagement Season. The most wonderful time of the year! It’s directly followed by wedding cake tasting season, for me, which is fun too! 

One of my favorite couples ever got engaged this season and I HAD to congratulate them with a custom ‘Happy Engagement’ cake! I gifted them this colorful and fun scratch made funfetti and chocolate cake with vanilla bean Italian buttercream. We made the custom fondant plaque with the Sweet Stamp letter press which creates a really nice cursive flowy font. 


We celebrated at Indigo and Violet Studio which is an ADORABLE space to host events, parties, and workshops.  Renae with City Savvy Imaging graciously captured the couple as they cut and shared the cake. Their laughter and loved filled the space and I couldn’t help but laugh along with their contagious happiness. 

I use to work with Aja at Smack Dab, an INCREDIBLE café that makes not only killer breakfast sandwiches, but also killer pizza. And killer donuts. And killer lattes… ANYWAY Aja and Kira got engaged and celebrations were in order. They are the most vivacious and charismatic couple and I wish them ALL the best in their planning process, their wedding, and their marriage to follow!
