Downtown Irish Chicago Wedding

We are so excited to share Rory and Matt’s super fun Irish wedding in Chicago. The couple started their day at Sheraton Grand Chicago in a beautiful suites overlooking the river with a nice view of Navy Pier. Rory wore her mom’s wedding dress that had been reconstructed just for her. What an amazing story to tell!

The couple’s ceremony was held at St Juliana Catholic Church where Rory’s parents were married and she was confirmed. Immediately following the ceremony, they stopped by the newlyweds’ home for a few pictures with their dog, Bailey. Following the ceremony, they headed downtown for some photos near the Board of Trade building. Rory & Matt brought along a bottle of champagne for some cute photos of them popping the cork.

During their reception The Mullane Godley Irish Dance Academy brought some of their dancers for some entertainment. Rory used to be a competitive Irish dancer at the World Championship level, so she even got out on the floor a couple of times. Dinner ended with entertainment from the Shannon Rovers Irish Pipe Band.

Overall this was such a fun wedding to share and we really enjoyed sharing this couple’s story!
