Dramatic Skies Over Lake Michigan Engagement Session

Hannah and Stephen's love story began on the hallowed grounds of none other than the internationally renowned academy, West Point. Hannah, who hails from up-state New York, was lovingly teased by family as she left home, being warned "Good luck meeting a cute guy out in the middle of nowhere!". Well, within a week of arriving she and Stephen locked eyes and the rest, as they say, is history. While Stephen's from Southern California and Hannah's a New England native, these two have since found a home in Chicago which is why they opted to hold their engagement session at one of Chicago's most iconic locations: North Avenue Pier.

The catch?! It was COLD. Cold and windy! But instead of shying away from this blustery day, Hannah threw on an Old Hollywoodesque faux fur coat and the two bravely clasped hands and truly blew me away! We had the entire pier and beach to ourselves (one of the perks of having a colder weather engagement session) and, while these two are obviously gorgeous with amazing chemistry to boot, the sky came very close to stealing the show! Stunning clouds gathered over the skyline while the wild waters of Lake Michigan danced beneath our feet.

All of these elements truly made this session, in a word that Gen Z'ers will appreciate - iconic. A huge congrats to this beautiful duo!
