Being a Chicago wedding photographer is an incredible journey. I love that each wedding is a unique love story waiting to be told. Recently, I had the privilege of capturing a truly special wedding at The Shore Club in Chicago, a venue offering unbeatable views of Lake Michigan and close walking distance to North Avenue Beach. Cristine and Fred’s wedding was a blend of love, excitement, and pure elegance, and I’m thrilled to share its highlights.
GETTING READY AT HOTEL LINCOLN
Our day began at the lovely Hotel Lincoln, where the bride and groom prepared for their big moment. The hotel’s vintage charm and unique details provided a picturesque backdrop for capturing their excitement and anticipation.
THE CEREMONY AT ST. MARY OF THE LAKE CATHOLIC CHURCH
The ceremony unfolded at the magnificent St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church. Its historic architecture and stunning stained glass windows created a breathtaking atmosphere for the couple’s vows.
EXPLORING CHICAGO’S ICONIC SPOTS
Post-ceremony, the wedding party hopped on a trolley to explore some of Chicago’s famous spots. First stop: Lincoln Park South Pond and the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool. These lush settings provided a serene backdrop for candid shots and gorgeous portraits of the newlyweds.
Next, we headed to North Avenue Beach, capturing the couple’s joy against the backdrop of Lake Michigan and the city skyline. These shots beautifully showcased their love and the vibrant spirit of Chicago.
