Stunning Wedding At Sable Creek Homestead

On April 27th, we had the incredible honor of photographing Chrissy and Chris’s wedding. The day was filled with love, joy, and unforgettable moments. Their journey together is a beautiful story of serendipity, resilience, and true love. It is our pleasure to share more about this stunning wedding at Sable Creek Homestead.
Connecting At Competition
Chrissy and Chris first connected on a dating app in 2019. Their initial conversations were light, and they eventually parted ways, staying friends on social media. Fate brought them together again in 2021 at a powerlifting meet where Chrissy was competing and Chris was helping out. After Chrissy’s victorious deadlift, she impulsively jumped into Chris’s arms, marking the start of their love story. They spent that night getting to know each other. After a month of ups and downs, they finally called each other out on their hesitations and started officially dating. Fast forward three years, and their bond has only grown stronger.
The One
The moment Chrissy knew Chris was the one is as heartwarming as it gets. It was Easter Sunday at her brother’s house, just a few weeks into their relationship. Chrissy watched Chris playing on a trampoline with her niece, seeing the genuine happiness in both their faces. Her brother’s mother-in-law noticed Chrissy watching and said, “That’s a husband,” and Chrissy knew she was right.
Dress to Impress
A month after their engagement, Chrissy, along with her mom, maid of honor, sister, and sister-in-law, went to a wedding expo. Victoria Couture designed a dress that completely captivated them all. When it came time to actually go dress shopping, Chrissy’s style ideas had changed dramatically, and she was nervous about finding the right dress. She didn’t pick out a single dress herself but let her family bring her options. The dress she chose was the fourth or fifth she tried on, and it was perfect. Through tears and a few high kicks, Chrissy knew she had found her dress.
Wedding Day
The wedding day was everything Chrissy and Chris had hoped for. The celebration was filled with love, laughter, and heartfelt moments, surrounded by friends and family. They chose not to follow many traditional customs, but one they kept was not seeing each other the night before. The look of love and happiness in Chris’s eyes when he first saw Chrissy walking down the aisle is a memory that will stay with them forever. It truly was the best day ever, with everyone having a great time celebrating the love between Chrissy and Chris.
The Perfect Proposal
Chris’s proposal was a beautifully planned surprise. Just a week before Chrissy’s birthday, Chris told her that their friend Adam would be taking their Christmas card pictures. This was unusual because Chris had shown no interest in the process the previous year. Chrissy suspected something special was coming but was still taken by surprise when, after the photo shoot, Chris proposed and led her to a surprise engagement party with all their friends and family. It was a moment filled with joy and love.
Advice
Chrissy and Chris have some valuable advice for future couples preparing for their wedding:
Trust the process!!!
Relax. And do what YOU want, not what you think you should do.
