About
Hi! I'm Emma, owner and lead photographer of Emma Mullins Photography. My goal is simple: to capture your vibe, your people, and your love in a way that looks and feels true to life! Expect a mix of candid moments and contemporary portraiture while still being able to enjoy time with your guests. My favorite moments are always the unexpected ones, and we are experts at capturing behind-the-scenes goodness :)
Our talented team of videographers adopt the same documentary approach, allowing both your photos and wedding film to have a similar vibe and aesthetic. Plus - it allows couples to feel totally comfortable in front of the camera (the number one thing mentioned in our Reviews!).
Emma Mullins Photography embraces diversity and inclusivity. We are LGBTQ+ friendly and happy to serve humans of every background, gender and identity.

The wedding industry is constantly evolving, with new trends emerging that reflect couples' desire for personalization, simplicity, and meaningful experiences. In recent years, we've seen a shift away from traditional norms as more couples opt for unique and personally detailed celebrations. Let’s explore some of the most exciting trends shaping modern weddings and how couples are making their big day their own.
In recent years, the wedding photography scene has been experiencing a new (old) trend: Film Photography! It's true: more and more couples are opting to have the most important day of their lives captured in this classic medium, whether it's in addition to digital or 100% on analog equipment.
Should I hire the same company for Photo and Video? This decision is a highly personal one and completely up to you (provided you don’t have an obligation to one company or another… see below). As a wedding photographer who manages a team of photographers and videographers, I’m always thrilled when couples book us for both services!
In an era where environmental consciousness is at the forefront of our minds, it's no surprise that couples are increasingly looking for ways to make their wedding celebrations more sustainable. From reducing waste to supporting local artisans, there are numerous ways to plan a wedding that's not only beautiful but also eco-friendly.
On Sunday, February 4th, 2024, romance filled the air as Urban Allure Events proudly presented the 5th Annual West Loop Wedding Walk. From noon until 5 PM, Chicago's West Loop bustled with excitement as over 700+ engaged couples embarked on a journey to explore the art of wedding planning in one of the city's most vibrant neighborhoods.
“We both wanted a winter wedding, and I love the colors. I would say as far as a theme goes it will be pretty simple and modern with a lot of greenery!! Our main priorities are good music, good drinks, and a great photographer to help us capture it all!!! We just want our guests to have a lot of fun.”
Lauren and Ryan chose Chicago as their wedding destination because of its central location to their families but also because of the iconic skyline.
This was one of the most unique surprise proposals I’ve ever been asked to document, and it ended in a way I never expected! Taylor asked me to capture the moment she asked Haley to marry her, but what neither of us knew is that Haley was prepared with a ring for Taylor, too!
The day Kevin and Brandon got married was a picture perfect fall day in Chicago. The sun was beaming, there was not a cloud in the sky, and you could just feel that it was going to be a special day.
Originally having planned to be married inside historic Cafe Brauer, Brigette and Michael opted to move their ceremony to the Lincoln Park Honeycomb!
