In a recent styled shoot by Sarah Yonder, owner of Laurel + Prairie and MK, owner of Your Day with MK, we discover a truly inspirational springtime affair at Elawa Farm located in Lake Forest, IL.

"No matter the era, the trends or the bride, there is something majestically elegant about an all white wedding. The stark white against the red brick of the Elawa Farm in Lake Forest, Illinois did nothing but sparkle in the Chicago sun after months of clouds and snow. Sarah of Laurel + Prairie reached out to MK of Your Day by MK with hopes to put together the ultimate day for a vintage elegant bride. After months of praying for the Chicago winter to go away and reaching out to collaborators, April 24th could not come any earlier. Elawa Farm provided a classic backdrop of greenery and brickwork for stunning bridal portraits and the amazing grazing table laden with gorgeous goodies put together by Fox and Co. Alice in Ivory provided a beautiful Anna Campbell gown perfect for the modern vintage bride, its beading precious and ornate. Greenery and white florals further enhanced the scene, with some pieces sprayed gold to give a hint of pop to match with the table setting. All white - so simple yet jaw-dropping gorgeous for every bride."

This mouth watering spread provided by Fox and Co., Delish Cakes, and Flour and Fig perfectly plated on rentals from Hall's Rental makes us wish we could have shared in the delicacies in store that day!

The white and green florals from Blossoms and Branches accentuated the farm atmosphere and were such a lovely touch. From the bouquet to table, this display was perfect.

As you can see, the uniqueness of this inspirational shoot shows that you can have both the elegant and classic aspects of a wedding - while accenting the tiny details that really make the scene POP.
