Celebrating the Mexican Culture: A Dia de los Muertos Styled Shoot

Perfectly curated to celebrate the Mexican community, XOXO Invites teamed up with other talented vendors for a Dia de los Muertos styled shoot that’s filled with color and culture! Jacqueline of XOXO Invites stated, “we were sure to select a Hispanic event planner, photographer, stationer and even models. Traditions are huge in the Latin culture as a whole and what better way to celebrate than together.” We couldn’t agree more! Written by Jacqueline of XOXO Invites:

We have wanted to create a shoot like this for some time. To create an opportunity to really bring out the significance of the culture and shine a light on Dia de los Muertos. To us the shoot wasn't just to incorporate the tradition into a wedding day scene but to really use it as the main theme. From the vibrant colors to the edgy energy we wanted to breathe life into this photo shoot.

We took great care in selecting and creating every detail for this day and being sure to bring items that would helps represent the Mexican community. The invitations have a laser cut pocket to represent papel picado we would hang by the Ofrenda. The Tequila to toast to the bride and groom. The Esposa y Esposo signs on the back of their chair. The Ofrenda to represent all of the family we wish could have been there to celebrate. Marigolds being our main flower throughout the day from bouquet, centerpieces and main display. The guitar for the groom. Our photographer even graced us with playing and singing for us that day (we have it on video). We took our time to really think about everything.
