It is officially Labor Day weekend and we've got a busy next 3 days filled with weddings, visitors, and 7 different festivals!  Whether You are from Chicago or a wedding guest, there is no shortage of entertainment this weekend.

 

Fringe Festival

A Fringe Festival can be loosely defined as a performance festival that seeks the un-tried and the weird. Here in Chicago, this festival focuses on the performing arts, uncensored fun, and it’s easy for all to participate in! Jazz Festival

The 40th annual Chicago Jazz Fest is produced by the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events and programmed by the Jazz Institute of Chicago.  Featuring some of the greatest Jazz artists from Chicago and across the world, headliners perform in Millennium Park and include Ramsey Lewis, Kurt Elling, Dianne Reeves, Maceo Parker and Orbert Davis' Chicago Jazz Philharmonic!

African Festival of the Arts

Get ready to indulge yourself into African Culture! The 29th annual African Festival of the Arts takes place this Labor Day weekend in Chicago’s Washington Park. The fest explores African heritage, spirituality, and wellness through a vibrant marketplace, while also showcasing interactive music and the arts!

Lobster Fest

Celebrating their 5th year at Navy Pier this weekend, Chicago’s Great American Lobster Fest is the Midwest’s largest Lobster and Seafood Festival! North Coast Music Festival

Looking for a wide variety of music and 3 days to see it all?  North Coast Music Fest is held in Union Park and features everything from folk, rock, electronic, hip-hop to silent discos!  Can’t make the shows? Taste of Polonia

Taste of Polonia is the largest polish fest in the US is held at the Copernicus Center in Chicago’s Jefferson Park this weekend, and offers non stop music, food and fun all 4 days. Four stages, 30+ bands, polish foods and beer plus carnival rides and more!
