Who am I?

My name is Eric Sampson A.K.A DJ Jem and I am 50% owner of The DJ Firm. I started my professional DJ career in 2006 djing nightclubs, and venues all over the nation. In 2014, The DJ Firm was conceptualized and now the CEO and event company servicing over 250 unique events annually. Based in Chicago, my roots are midwest deep and have greatly influenced my style as a DJ. I consider myself an open format entertainer and a master of all genres. I think this is an important concept and you will see what I mean as this series grows. I deliver an experience with the records I play and I am excited to talk about how this ties into the culture of weddings and music.

A collective group of dynamic DJ’s driven by what and how you experience music.. Our concept is powered by all of the different platform’s we have had the opportunity to play. Nightclubs, company events, and weddings all have the same challenges and that's reading the people that's in front of you. The DJ Firm focuses on these types of experiences and I can’t wait to dive in deeper and give some of our insight to help craft what your ideal DJ sounds like.

What’s the Vibe?

My goal is to give unique vibes, perspective, content, and ideas on entertainment. We will cover topics on how to select a great DJ, what makes a great DJ, and many other DJ driven subjects. Some of these subjects will come in video format as I plan to bring you interviews from my team, other DJ’s and industry professionals. All of this geared towards shining a light on how we can ensure our entertainment is “poppin”. Not only is information key, but content is king. Look to us to be your source for new music trends, that perfect track for that special dance or simply getting inspiration for from one of our featured mixes. What’s the vibe? The vibe is how we curate a musical experience that stays with forever.
