Madi Ellis Photography
About
As a documentary-style photographer, I love to emphasize connection, texture, and unfiltered emotion. My background in theater combined with a deep love for wedding photography allows me to use the art of storytelling while creating honest and original work. I strive to make my images fully represent my couples every way possible. From intimate elopements to traditional full day weddings, I'm here to capture everything from the big kiss to the secret "I love you's" shared in a whisper.

One effective way to enhance the festivity and ensure an unforgettable experience is by incorporating live music. Live bands offer a distinct charm and an engaging atmosphere that can transform any wedding by bringing an energy and presence that recorded tracks cannot match.
Lauren and Michael had the softest, springiest color palette and we are obsessed with the pink and yellow combo. Their gorgeous florals flowed throughout the wedding day, with the main feature as their stunning portrait backdrop at their reception space.
Keryn and Kevin’s wedding at the Joinery was absolutely PERFECT. From the rogue 75 degree day in October to an incredible choreographed first dance, this wedding will be talked about for years to come!
We are so excited to share Lauren and Michael’s gorgeous Chicago engagement session. They stopped at some of our favorite locations on what looks to be the perfect evening - that sunset is everything!!
Natalie + Kelly held their City Winery wedding on the most perfect fall day surrounded by the BEST group of people. Now THIS is a wedding we’d love to relive over and over again!
Fun fact: this wedding was put together in less than 3 months! An important family member’s ailing health was the largest factor in this timing. Luckily they were able to make it and enjoy the evening, which is truly what made this wedding at the Lytle House so amazing.
From their style we can tell that this couple is eclectic and fun. Madi Ellis Photography did a great job of capturing their personalities and their love! This is one to save for some engagement session inspiration.
Chicago weddings come in many shapes and forms and this real Chicago wedding feels very neighborhood focused, representing Logan Square, Wicker Park and Lincoln Park.
